Restaurants are going to the dogs

I am not going to lie, I've considered faking Ender/Barksdale as a service dog so we can take them on public transportation into San Francisco. Apparently people have been getting bold about bringing their pets into restaurants, including service dog fakery, as told by this article:

I've seen pugs strolling through Anthropology, and I always wondered how the owners were so brave, or clueless, to do this. I also saw an episode of Dog Whisperer where a woman had panic attacks so she was allowed to bring her huge mutt-type dog with her because he calmed her down. But doesn't that apply for everyone?
